Brown University Students Make Demands

Dozens of Brown University students remained in their encampment Thursday, one of many protests connected to the Israel-Hamas war.

The Brown Divest Coalition is calling on university President Christina Paxson to act, and have the school divest itself of interests that contribute to Israel's military.

Paxson has not responded to a request that students be allowed to make their case before the school's corporation, of which Paxson is a member, at its May meeting.

University officials deny that Brown's endowment is directly invested in defense or munitions manufacturers.
